That's great Michael. Now, can you slow the sky down to walking speed while keeping the rest galloping?

Like the hands and the poo race.
Agree, moving sky is better, just needs a reduction in speed.

Re: Challenge 966: Hand ambulance - The Asylum
A tough one again this week - Oh - what to do with that? After a few attempts ended up here.
(Where the challenge almost sent me - the Asylum.)

Loyd, very atomospheric.

Ben, brilliant. "Englan declared" ? An insignificant typo.

Well spotted Michael, I rely to much on spellcheck.
Quite dark Loyd & Frank - that doll is quite scary (I was a part time doll doctor in an earlier life)

Re: Challenge 966: Hand ambulance
First to treat the hand ambulance this week was GKB, with a really funny entry – those bloodied bandages really add a lot. I like the added chart and blood pouch; masterful raising of the bedclothes, too. Small point, but the medics don’t seem to have any feet.

An ingenious rickshaw from DavidMac, the ambulance reconfigured for the purpose. I like the fact that it mimics a hand-tinted photograph, but the cart is too grey compared to the background; you need to add some of that sepia tone:

Looks like tooquilos and GKB are on the same page – but it’s Addams Family time for the Wizard of Oz. Perfect angle and shading, and I like how you’ve replaced the items on the bier. A great story in the animated version – so many hands!

I’ve never been to a dunny derby, but Ben Boardman clearly has. Extraordinary. I like how the ambulance has been pressed into service as a beer trolley – nice branding. And I have to say that for an Australian cricket fan, Ben, your Ashes entry shows you remarkably even-handed. Did you time playing Subbuteo as a kid? That’s what the pitch reminds me of. Splendid work, especially the refraction through the jar.

Sports time for Ant Snell, with an injured England player on the ambulance. A curious expression on his face, and that’s a huge football!

A trench setting from Mariner, looking very evocative in the mist. I see you’ve redrawn the bed and canopy – why, though? Don’t you think them looking so new is rather at odds with the battlefield? An extraordinary second entry, with a real sense of struggle as that cart is pushed uphill. The rebuilt surfaces make much more sense here.

I enjoyed lwc's distance calculator, with its spinning dial and illuminated route. A curious roundabout route, though. I greatly enjoyed the second entry, with its dilapidated room setting: a really haunting image. The ambulance blends in perfectly there. Good work.

Entertaining work from michael sinclair, with a beautifully animated ostrich and neatly spinning wheels. I like the way the shadow and cart both jiggle around. Having seen the image before the moving sky, though, I have to say the jump when the sky repeats is very disconcerting. Surely you could create a seamless sky that scrolls without the sudden break? It’s just a question of matching the texture, as you can see in my tutorial here.

A nightmare vision from Frank, beautifully constructed with an array of grotesque elements that blend very neatly together. I like the Wes Anderson-style symmetry of the room. As my wife says about my sculptures – better out than in.

Thanks Steve. It was such an awkward subject that my heart wasn't really in it.

Thanks Steve. Had to look up Wes Anderson style - found it interesting.
Here's a link to his style if others would like a look.
Enjoy your vacation!

Re: Challenge 966: Hand ambulance
Thanks Steve. The feet are behind the medical chart.

Enjoy your hols
