Contest 102: Platform nine and three quarters
I was on Kings Cross station the other day, and was pleased to see that someone had tried to find a way to prevent disappointment in all those thousands of Harry Potter fans who had come looking for the fabled platform nine and three quarters.

But couldn't we make it a little more magical?

High res is here.

Ok - I haven't posted in quite a while now, have been kind of busy with work etc.

This is my effort to get the ball rolling.

(Don't think that the text will be readable in the little monitor, but it's supposed to read '9.15 Inter-Dimensional portal to Middle-Earth delayed due to Orcs on the line' - this is why poor old Gandalf looks suitably miffed )

Great pic... but you were doing a good job describing it!

Perhaps Steve could run 'the Friday essay' as an aside

A spare baggage trolly not magical enough for you? Maybe the addition of a porter and an accurate timetable would move it into the realms of fantasy

Great picture Dave. No Fibres this week, but my chap thinks he is now a photoshop widow(er); at least it isn't football.

Cheap and cheerful: I'm torn between creating beautiful trees, or getting stuck into Photoshop.

We all need a little magic. Freezing cold here, but the snow on the mountains look beautiful. Will miss next weeks challange as I'm off to Vanuatu with the family. (9 adults + 5 children)

Hey, that's a dead-ringer for the right Doctor Who Character.

Very good Pierre!

Pierre, your best yet, great lighting and shadow - and not a mini in sight either

(personally I would have applied just a touch of blur to the central figure as he seems a bit sharp against the brickwork but - hey, I didn't even finish mine - like I said, your best yet in my books, nice one)
