Contest 139: Works of art
This week's Challenge is inspired by two recent posts eleswhere in the forum. First, we had Dek_101's beautiful Edward Hopper rendition of a puzzle posed by Whaler; then Duncangrove's request to make a mannequin look more realistic.

So I thought, why not put these two together. What I'd like you to do is take the mannequin image and make it look like a painting. Your choice of style, of course. And perhaps the girl could do with a new leg, too, to replace the one that seems to have come adrift...

High res is here.

Actually there is a famous model (who I can't name for legal reasons) who's leg has also come adrift

This Caplin guy really does take the biscuit! First he makes me look grotesquely fat in my avatar (see earlier post), then has the nerve to ask if he can use my pic in a competition. He then proceeds to criticise my photography by complaining that the mannequin looks like she only has one leg! Does he not appreciate that the shot was carefully composed in order to give this effect? It is my artistic interpretation!

OK, I admit that now he has pointed it out…….

I guess I must have been so blinded by the sexy lingerie that I never spotted this before. Here is a version with two legs. As the luddites (AKA competent photographers) keep on telling me, get it right in camera!

I know this sounds stupid but, what do you mean by replace the the one that seems to have come adrift? Are you talking about the leg that is missing. Maybe I just need another cup of coffee!

What I understand from what I thought he meant .. he crept down to the ladies boudoir and, without waking her, took another picture from a slightly different angle .. just a taddette to the right. Same exposure; two days at f8.

Welcome back Eggbox. Since the model was taking a break from her modeling duties, it seems she had removed her artificial leg and parked it in the champagne bucket.

Thanks Marty but I'm not entirely out of the woods. My mother died yesterday and we have to get through the next week or so but I have been following the brilliant (as usual) offerings.
