Challenge 913: The road beneath
Directly beneath the lamp in last week's challenge is the Underground Museum, which shows the result of a recent archaeological excavation of Krakow's main square.

Here's a section of medieval road that was uncovered. Can you show how it might have looked when it was above ground?

High res is here.

Have you not heard of "The power of dynamic substitution!" Josephine?

NB not an entry by the way.

Very hard to get a grip on this one Steve as there is not much to scale to. It looks more like a footpath to me.

BTW Anna I love your banner. So simple and clever. I'd completely forgotten those labellers. What were they called ...Dymo?

The fist image (static) is the base image from which I developed a beautiful scene. The 25 frames played me up and so not as smooth as I had wished. The feet and lower legs do alternate if you look carefully.

The main entry is of course an animation .

I cringed when I first saw this challenge but once I broke away from the road mind set, things came together - sort of

Thanks David. That banner is many years old. Yes, from memory I downloaded the DYMO font and exported it as png rather than a jpg

That's lovely, Ben. Works well. Is it Francis of Assisi?

Re: Challenge 913: The road beneath
Well, I've stuck to the theme "medieval" road, therefore, personally, I think my entries are pretty okay--so there!
