Challenge 916: The Royal Watercolour Society
This uninspiring building is the home of the Royal Watercolour Society (as Wikipedia says, not to be confused with Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours), located in a street just behind the National Gallery in London.

Given the doubtless proficient artistic talent of its membership, I'm sure they could come up with a more decorative solution for their headquarters. Can you help them out?

High res is here.

It seems pretty much a given that somebody may be tempted to try one of those tacky photoshop 'painterly' effects.

So to spare you all any further embarrassments I'll put my head on the block first.

This one is my proper entry - the first being somewhat tongue in cheek.

This was very interesting and challenging and has taken me all sorts of new places. Lot's of experimentation and trial and error needed. Thanks Steve for provoking a great learning experience.

I'm back, still coughing madly, but I have got my new M1 Mackbook Pro. 2 Months from ordering. Love it.

Re: Challenge 916: The Royal Watercolour Society
Glad to see you back Vibeke.

I think you are the first of us to go M series. Will be very interesting to hear more when you have used it a bit.

Whenever I do a big change or upgrade I use a series of books called 'Take Control'. Each book covers a particular aspect of Mac use and operating systems in depth. They are only a few dollars and you can download them. I find them absolutely invaluable - especially when I moved up to Big Sur and Monterey which were a major change with many small differences from their predecessors.

They are very clearly and simply written and full of information I would not have otherwise known. They really do help me get the best out of my machine.

They have a book on the new M Series and what differences to expect. How to migrate your old system and how to get the best out of the new system and technology. You can find it here: https://www.takecontrolbooks.com/m-series/

I would say a few dollars well spent!

You have been a busy boy Michael!

I love the colour palette. I must confess to a preference for the upper section where we can sense the brick it is painted on.

Interesting way you have found for crediting 123RF .........

I'm glad you are on the mend Vibeke

David, I'm looking forward to your third entry

Steve, i have remembered to "square" the door and window frames after "squaring" the building.

The first two images are static and the third is animated
