Re: Challenge 1031: A curious fish
I did it last night after a dirty martini and a couple of glasses of a good Rhône. My own entry made feel quite sad and maudlin.

In the cold light of day that has mostly evaporated.

Wow! There's some incredible entries this week.

Loyd, your entry with the beer bottle is flawless. You've matched the legs perfectly.

That eagle isn't letting go. Well done, Michael.

David, it almost looks edible.

What fun Anna, 'Giraffishes' are great and the music is 'spot on' as always.

You captured the sunlight on the water perfectly Mariner... well done!

Thanks Loyd. Your 'prehistoric swamp' is the best so far. Well done.

What a bizarre and unexpected transformation Anna. Loyd's description is perfect. Both a name 'Giraffish' and and an adjective giraffe'ish.

Michael I love the utter simplicity of yours. That can be really difficult.

Steve, are you going to show us how to put legs on an ancient fish?

Michael I have just discovered that this really is a Pterygoplichthys Gibbiceps. I really thought it was a highly plausible gibberish name that you had invented for it!

Quite an assortment of entries from flying fishes to 'Giraffishes and on to the dinner plate. This fish certainly gets around.

My version is titled "The Attempted Great Escape" - well maybe?

Re: Challenge 1031: A curious fish
From WIKIPEDIA: "Although not nocturnal Pterygoplichthys Gibbiceps are more active at night. This fish is extremely popular in the aquarium, due to its unusual appearance."

Run out of time on this piece of silliness but it was a lot of fun!

Lots of detail so needs enlarging.
