Re: Contest 44: a desk job
Kid, you may not be aware but in the Friday challenge Steve gives feedback on the following Friday so that's when you get a critique, you'll have to wait until then unless anyone else wants to comment on your image (I know a week seems ever such a long time doesn't it?)

For my twopennyworth on your image, by opening the desk the lid has now magically tranformed to the thickness of cardboard

Tip: try looking at your image in the reflection of a mirror, it helps to see what errors you've made - believe me it works

I think Bobby Jo should get an offical title - "Most Improved".

Bobby, your last couple of entries have been excellent !

Kid, if you are so hung up on a title, just make one up for yourself.

Re: Contest 44: a desk job
Einstein - just wait a while and go for the title of 'Photoshop Wizard - Class A' when you have a bit more experience, interim titles aren't worth it, hang in there for the big ones

Re: Contest 44: a desk job
Oh dear, I just took a look at the fruits of my creativity in a mirror

My daughter came in and busted me, standing like a ninny in the bathroom, holding my pc up to the mirror

You could always get a smaller mirror and hold that up to your PC

Re: Contest 44: a desk job
Why not use the mirror function in photoshop ?
Anyhow I find the most common mistakes to check for are
1. Color matching problems
2. Perspective problems
3. Shadow problems or lack of shadows

So you should always try checking for that stuff.
